TMAG 20 AR/M4 GEN M3: the short see-through mag
Correction: we first listed the TMAG 20 as a SHOT Show 2026 launch. Magpul actually announced it ahead of SHOT Show 2025 (Soldier Systems Daily, January 14, 2025). It's still a current product, so it stays here, but it isn't new for 2026. See our corrections log.
The TMAG 20 AR/M4 GEN M3 ($23.95, MAG1485) is the 20-round version of Magpul's translucent magazine. It's molded in Magpul's Olive Drab Translucent polymer, so you can see your round count and load at a glance, with ribbed front and back straps and smooth sides for visibility. Magpul lists it at 3.6 oz and 5.7 inches long, with the same four-way anti-tilt follower as its GEN M3 PMAGs. Magpul says it passes the TOP 3-2-045 military tests for drops, dust and chemical exposure. It fits most STANAG 4179 rifles, including the AR-15, M4, SCAR 16/16S, HK416, MR556 and IWI Tavor, per Magpul. The short length is the point: it clears the bench and the ground when you shoot prone or off a bipod. Magpul says it's made in the USA.
M-LOK Thumb Shelf, Index Stop and SVG
Three small parts help you put your support hand in the same place every time:
- M-LOK Thumb Shelf ($16.95, MAG1566): an ambidextrous, ribbed shelf that gives your support-hand thumb something to push against for recoil control. It takes 1 M-LOK slot and weighs 0.4 oz.
- M-LOK Index Stop ($16.95, MAG1568): a half-slot stop that sticks out only 1/8 inch, matching Type 2 rail covers. It's a reference point your hand can feel without looking. It weighs 0.5 oz.
- M-LOK SVG ($22.95, MAG1567): a short vertical grip that gives you leverage without crowding the rail or snagging.
Check your handguard first. Magpul says the Thumb Shelf and Index Stop fit octagonal aluminum M-LOK handguards only, not polymer M-LOK forends or wide-surface handguards. The Ruger Harrier, for example, has a 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard. Check its profile, or your own rifle's, before you order.
Hunter Lite stock
The Hunter Lite ($219.95) line isn't brand new: the Savage Axis version dates to January 2024, and the Remington 700 version was shown at SHOT Show 2025. The 2026 news, per Magpul's January 20, 2026 release, is the full line in all three Magpul colors, including a Ruger American version. It's a lightweight stock for three of the most common budget bolt guns: Savage Axis and Axis II short actions (MAG1354), Remington 700 short actions (MAG1422) and Ruger American Gen I and Gen II short actions (MAG1421). It weighs 2.3 to 2.9 lb depending on the version, spacers and riser. Length of pull runs from 13 to 15 inches with four half-inch spacers, and the included riser adds 0.36 inch of cheek height. The action sits in an aluminum V-block with steel pillars, and the Savage version takes AICS-pattern magazines. Magpul lists it as made in the USA.
It's a cheap way to upgrade a new rifle. A Savage Axis, Remington 700 or Ruger American short-action owner who wants an adjustable length of pull and a bedded action can get both for about $220. Check Magpul's fit list for your exact model first, including the Savage Axis 2 (an August 2024 rifle). See new hunting rifles of 2026.
Other new rifle and pistol accessories
Magpul isn't the only maker with useful small parts this year. Warne's +5 extension for Glock's 15-round steel 43X/48 magazine ($56.99) turns it into a 20-rounder. For lights, see new weapon lights of 2026, and for cans, new suppressors. Every new accessory we track is on the gear and accessories hub.
