New 2011 Pistols of 2026: Every Double-Stack 1911 We Track
The 2011 went mainstream this year. The format started as a double-stack 1911 for competition, and it's now built by SIG Sauer, Kimber and Staccato in 2026 versions. We track 8 double-stack 1911 and 2011 pistols, and 6 are shipping. Below: what's new, how they differ on magazines, frames and compensators, and our picks. Every spec and price comes from the maker or a named retailer, and each status has a check date.

Our picks
Best value 2011: SIG P211-GT4 or GT5
SIG launched the steel-frame P211-GT4 and GT5 on January 16, 2026. They're single-action, double-stack 9mm pistols with a SIG-LOC PRO optic cut and SIG's XRAY3 Day/Night front sight. SIG publishes no price. Retailers list both at $2,299.99 MSRP and sell them for about $2,099.99. The big draw is magazines: SIG's launch release says they take P320-compatible magazines, and SIG ships one 17-round and two 21-round mags. That makes spares cheaper and easier to find than traditional 2011 magazines. The GT5 is the full-size gun (4.9 in barrel per SIG's table, 46.4 oz with magazine). The GT4 is the carry length (4.0 in barrel, 41.6 oz).
Best carry 2011: Staccato HD C4X
The HD C4X ($3,499) is Staccato's compact. It has a 4-inch barrel with an integrated compensator, a 7075 aluminum frame, and a weight of 24.5 oz without a magazine, the lowest listed weight here. It runs 15-round Glock 19-pattern magazines and uses Staccato's HOST optic mount. It costs more than a P211, but it's much lighter, and it takes Glock mags.
Best duty 2011: Staccato HD P4X
The P4X uses the C4X's comped 4-inch barrel on a 4140 steel frame with an 18-round, Glock 17-pattern magazine. It weighs 32.5 oz without a magazine, and the steel frame soaks up recoil. Staccato lists Core, Preferred and Premium trims from $3,599 to $3,999.
Best compensated value: Kimber 2K11 Comp
Kimber machines a compensator into the 2K11's slide and barrel, with a 0.16-square-inch forward port. The 5-inch Comp lists at $2,399-$2,599, and the 4.25-inch Pro Comp at $2,425-$2,599. Kimber specs a 3-4 lb GT Match Grade trigger and includes an RMR adapter plate. It ships with one 17-round and two 20-round magazines (5-inch), or two 19-round magazines (Pro Comp).
Best budget double-stack 1911: Kimber 1911 DS Warrior
The DS Warrior ($1,099; launch pricing ran $1,099 to $1,350 by model, per Guns.com) is the lowest-priced pistol here. It's more traditional double-stack 1911 than 2011: a 5-inch bushing barrel, an internal extractor, an external hammer and an aluminum frame, in 9mm, .38 Super, .45 ACP and 10mm. It's cut for RMR-pattern optics and has an ambidextrous thumb safety.
Coming next: SIG P211-FULL and P211-CARRY
SIG announced the lighter, alloy-frame P211s on September 22, 2026. They pair an alloy frame with a polymer grip module and a bull barrel (5 in and 4.2 in). They weigh 35.5 oz and 33.1 oz with a magazine, about 11 oz and 8.5 oz less than the steel GT5 and GT4. SIG's pages still read "COMING SOON!" with no price. We'll update their status when they ship.

Specs are from SIG Sauer's model tables, Staccato's technical specifications and Kimber's product pages, plus Gunprime and Classic Firearms for SIG street prices, Guns.com for the DS Warrior's price range and Arms East for its 9mm weight. Makers weigh pistols differently (with a loaded, empty or no magazine), so compare weights loosely. Checked October 17-21, 2026.
The magazine question
For many buyers, magazines decide which 2011 to buy. Traditional 2011 magazines cost more than most striker-fired mags. The 2026 guns split three ways:
- SIG P320 magazines on the steel P211-GT4 and GT5, per SIG's launch release.
- Glock magazines on the Staccato HD line: Glock 19 pattern in the C4X and Glock 17 pattern in the P4X.
- Maker magazines on the Kimber 2K11 and DS Warrior.
If you already own a P320 or a Glock, that alone may decide it. Forum owners make the same point: in an r/2011 thread comparing the P211-GTO and Staccato P, buyers named P320 magazine compatibility as a reason to choose the SIG.
Compensator or not
A compensator vents gas upward to reduce muzzle rise, and in 2026 more pistols have one built in. Both Staccato HDs and the Kimber 2K11 Comp have an integrated comp. The steel GT4 and GT5 and the new alloy P211s use plain bull barrels. SIG's comped option is the P211-GTO, covered in our P211-GTO vs GT5 vs GT4 comparison. Comps add muzzle blast and flash, and some owners avoid them on a home-defense gun for that reason. If that matters to you, the GT4, GT5 and DS Warrior are the uncompensated choices.
Also worth knowing
You'll also see Jacob Grey's TWC HEX, a 9mm double-stack 1911 with a hexagonal grip module, a 7075 aluminum frame and 17-round magazines, at 30.98 oz unloaded per Jacob Grey. It isn't a 2026 pistol: Jacob Grey announced it on Dec 11, 2024, and it showed at SHOT Show 2025. Jacob Grey publishes no MSRP.
Other 2011s from SHOT Show 2026, such as Palmetto State Armory's Sabre-11 that AmmoLand covered in its 2011 roundup, aren't in our tracker yet because we haven't been able to cite maker specs and pricing for them.

How we chose
Every product here comes from our release database, which tracks new products from announcement to shipping. To make the list, a product had to be announced for 2026 (or in late 2025 for 2026 availability) and have a cited maker or trade-press source. We grouped products by job using maker specs, then weighed MSRP and verified shipping status. If two did the same job, we favored the one you can buy today.
We haven't range-tested these products. Picks are editorial judgments based on published data. Prices are maker MSRPs, and status comes from our latest dated check on each product page. Read how we track releases and our editorial standards.
