Daniel Defense revives the rare GL/SSC RIS II rail for its 25th anniversary: a 12.5-inch 5.56 DDM4 sold as a pistol, an SBR or an upper.
Why it matters
It is a factory-correct take on a handguard clone builders have chased for years, with new "Savannah, GA" markings that set it apart from the 25 originals.

Status history
Daniel Defense's own store lists both the GL/SSC SBR and Pistol at $2,499.00 with Add to Cart (SBR "Only 1 left", Pistol "Only 3 left"), checked in a browser 2026-10-17. DD shows no separate MSRP, so $2,499 is labeled as the maker's listed price. TFB earlier reported $2,026 for the pistol; the maker store does not match that figure. The SBR is an NFA item.
Who it's for: Hunters looking for a new bolt-action rifle.
