Kimber 2K11 vs Staccato HD: Which Comped 2011 Should You Buy?
Kimber's 2K11 Comp and 2K11 Pro Comp and Staccato's HD C4X and HD P4X are all compensated, double-stack 9mm 2011s that launched in 2026. The Kimbers are heavier, all-stainless guns with a port machined into the slide and barrel, and they cost $2,399 to $2,599 at Kimber. The Staccatos cost $3,499 to $3,999, use a one-piece compensated barrel and run Glock magazines, and the C4X is far lighter. Here's the comparison on the makers' published numbers.

Kimber figures and prices are from Kimber's SKU pages for the 2K11 Comp (3500078, 3500080, 3500103) and Pro Comp (3500073, 3500075, 3500105), checked October 17, 2026; we track the Comp and Pro Comp as one product, so they share a status. Staccato figures and prices are from Staccato's technical specifications, checked October 17-21, 2026. Kimber weighs with an empty magazine and Staccato without one, so the real gap is smaller than the raw numbers.
What's the same
All four are single-action, double-stack 9mm pistols with a compensator, an optic mount and a metal frame, and all four launched in 2026: Kimber's 2K11 Comp in January, Staccato's HD C4X in January and the HD P4X in July. Each maker sells them in more than one finish or trim level.
What's different
How the comp works
Kimber machines the compensator into the slide and the barrel together, with a forward port Kimber lists at 0.16 square inch. Staccato's HD guns use a one-piece 4-inch barrel with the comp built in. Either way, you get less muzzle rise and more blast and flash than a plain barrel.
Weight and carry
The C4X's aluminum frame makes it the clear carry choice. It's 24.5 oz without a magazine and 4.84 inches tall, against 33.4 oz with an empty magazine and 5.76 inches for the Pro Comp. At full size, the steel P4X (32.5 oz without a magazine) and the 5-inch 2K11 Comp (35.6 oz with an empty one) are much closer.
Magazines
Staccato's HD line takes Glock-pattern magazines, Glock 19 size in the C4X and Glock 17 size in the P4X. Kimber ships the 2K11s with its own double-stack magazines (17 and 20 rounds in the Comp, 19 in the Pro Comp). If you already own Glocks, that's a point for Staccato.
Price
At the makers' starting prices, the stainless 2K11 Comp ($2,399) is $1,100 less than the C4X ($3,499) and $1,200 less than the P4X Core ($3,599). Kimber's top DLC models are $2,599, still about $900 under the C4X.
Which should you buy?
- Buy the Staccato HD C4X for concealed carry. It's the lightest and shortest of the four and runs Glock 19 magazines.
- Buy the Staccato HD P4X for a steel duty or home gun that shares magazines with a Glock 17.
- Buy the Kimber 2K11 Comp for range and competition use at about $1,100 less, with a 5-inch barrel, a 3-4 lb trigger and 20-round magazines.
- Buy the 2K11 Pro Comp if you want the Kimber in a 4.25-inch length and don't mind a steel-frame weight.
